Yes, Mt Albert Primary has spaces for International Students from Year 1 to Year 6 for Term 2, Term 3, and Term 4 of 2024.

We welcome all International Students 

Mt Albert Primary welcomes enrolments from international students,

Enrolments are accepted for a minimum period of 4 weeks, with a preference of 3 months.

With our diverse community and tailored support of English Language learning, we have a lot to offer to students from overseas.

International students have access to all the facilities and programmes available to mainstream students.

To enrol as an international student

For the online application we will require:

  •  A copy of the student’s birth certificate

  •  A copy of the child’s immunisation certificate

  • Completed International Student Application Form

  • Visa for student and the accompanying parent (child must stay with parent)

  • Passport for the student and the accompanying parent

  • Proof of insurance for travel and stay while in New Zealand

Once all paperwork has been submitted to the school, you will receive an offer of place and invoice.

As a signatory to the Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of International Students, Mt Albert Primary School welcomes International Students into our high-standard learning programmes.

All international students must live with a parent in New Zealand to study at Mt Albert Primary School.

Fee Price Increase 2024

In term 4 of 2024, we will be changing School Fee Pricing for all International Fees to $400.00 per week. 

International Student Fees 

Our international student tuition fees are as follows (incl GST)  Short term/weekly $300.00. By term - 10 weeks at $300.00 per week $3,000.

This does not include the cost of the school uniform (approximately $300 per annum), we also have a second-hand uniform shop.

Stationery (approximately $40 per annum), or educational and sporting trips outside of school (e.g. camps).

We have a compulsory school uniform available exclusively from The Warehouse, St Lukes (located opposite Westfield St Lukes at 7 Wagener Place). All items of your child's uniform must be clearly labeled with their name in case they are lost.

Hats As part of keeping ourselves 'Sun Smart' and 'Sun Safe,'  we have a compulsory school hat. School hats are available at The Warehouse, St Lukes.

School Shoes
- Any shoe, sneaker, or flat sandal suitable for running and playing may be worn, preferably black or navy
- No heels, jandals, gumboots, crocs, high tops, wheelies or ‘flashing light’ shoes are allowed

Winter For students who feel the cold on their legs we ask them to wear the correct MAPS uniform track pants or dark coloured (blue/black) long socks or tights with their shorts/skorts. For warm tops, students would be wearing the correct MAPS uniform Polar Fleece. They can also wear a dark blue or black long-sleeved top beneath their school shirt. Students are welcome to bring a rain jacket to wear over the top of their fleece for walking to and from school.
